SI Career Services: “Yikes! Job Searching in a Tight Market”

February 12, 2009

Trying to move up to a new job or find your first one is challenging in the current market. SI Career Services is addressing that issue with a timely panel with Joanna Kroll, associate director of SI Career Services, and Scott Tsuchiyama, an advisor at the U-M Career Center (and current SI student). Come to this program to de-stress, eat some pizza, and hear from career services professionals on what’s going on in the market place. You’ll hear about recruitment trends and the employment outlook, and you’ll get advice on what you should be doing right now to ensure you land a job. This is an informal program, so if you can only stop by for a short time, that’s fine, since the speakers will be available to answer your questions. Stop in from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 17 in the Ehrlicher Room, 411 West Hall.

Jobs in demand (don’t just take our word for it)

February 9, 2009

Whatever they are called, demand for them is expanding.”
